Our Little Graduate

Karissa graduated Kindergarten! It was a very exciting day for her. Her class had been working on songs to sing at graduation for several weeks. She was excited to share them with us. I don't know why, but it has been difficult for me knowing that Karissa is done with Kindergarten and is moving on to first grade. Maybe it's the fact that when she is in first grade she won't be coming home at lunch time to help me with Lexie anymore. Lexie got so excited to watch for the bus every day.I didn't have the best camera spot, but this is Karissa recieving her graduation certificate from her teacher, Miss Jones.

We'll miss you!

Our friends Jez and Trina are moving to Minnesota in the next little bit. Before our moving to Hyrum, we were in the same ward. This last Saturday, we planned a get-together with many of their friends from through the years that we have known them. Many came to wish them well. We had a great pic-nic and were able to have a good visit. We are really going to miss them and pray that all goes well for them. Good luck and don't forget about us!

Hooray for nice weather!!!

We finally got the trailer out, and went up the canyon. We only were able to stay one night, but it was enjoyable. We took Lindsey and Nicole with us. The girls had a lot of fun. We camped at Guinevah campground up Logan canyon. There is an amphatheater in that campground, and the girls spent some time creating dances and musicals, and performed them for us. We're glad it's summer and we anticipate spending many weekends camping this year.

It was finally bed time. Not much sleep was had with all 5 girls in the same bed.

Dance Divas or Soccer Pros

Brindley and Karissa had their dance review this last Saturday. It was a crazy day. We started out with the dress rehearsal in the morning, then took Brindley straight to her soccer game, then re-did her hair and did both girls' makeup in the car on the way back to the dance performance. (Wasn't there a conference talk that said, slow down. You don't have to sign your kids up for everything!) The girls did awesome with their dances. Right at the end of the review, the power went out. All the girls (ages 3-10 years) that were dancing (about 100 of them) were in a room behind the stage when this happened. I'm very proud of Brindley who's first thought was, "I need to go find Karissa." They had moved the girls out in the hall where there was a little more light. After waiting for a few minutes in our chairs, Jim went out to see if he could see the girls. He found them standing in the hall hugging each other. Karissa was very relieved to see us and just glad to get out of the dark.

So now dance is over for the year and we only have two soccer games left for each! Yes, that's right... Our girls played soccer this year. It was our first year with the whole soccer thing. The girls so enjoyed it. Or maybe it was the treat after the soccer game that they liked. O-well, what ever it was, it was alot easier to get them to go to their soccer games than their dance classes. They have come a long way with soccer. When I bought them shin guards they asked what they were for. Brindley had just previously been kicked in the shin and had a big black bruise, so I explained that they were to prevent those bruises. Now both of them are okay with the kicking and have even taken a few balls in the stomach. They just keep running though! They make me smile! I love watching them whether it is dancing or playing soccer.

The Time Finally Came

Jim has had his truck for sale since last October. We really loved our truck, but it wasn't working with pulling the trailer. The truck pretty much sat "for sale" in the garage. We didn't really push selling it. Jim came home the other day and told me the truck wasn't sounding the same. We found out that it was probably the transmission. I didn't want Jim driving it to Salt Lake if the transmission was going, so we decided we had better do something. After some "Wheelin' and Dealin' this is what we came up with. And yes, it will pull the trailer!!

Thanks to all that helped out with the March of Dimes. We had alot of fun! Alot of people have already asked if they can join us next year on the walk. The more the merrier! These pictures are last years. When I get this years I will update this post.

Brindley, Wyatt and McCoy all turn eight this year! I remember when they were babies laying side-by-side on the grass at Cory's house. Now look at them. Growing up faster than we want them too. Looking at these pictures brought back alot of memories.
