Best Buds!

These two crack me up! I'm so glad that Sam has Jaxyn. When they are together, they are inseperable. As you can see in the picture below, they wear each other out.

One of the first times Jaxyn came over, they played "getting married". Sam says to him, "Do you take this awful lady to be your awful wife?"
Like I said, that was one of Jaxyn's first times coming over so I had to put a stop to the wedding playing because I didn't want to scare him off!
At 4 years old Jaxyn is already such a gentlemen. Sam was trying to carry something up the stairs and he took it from her and carried it for her. He will pull her chair out for her at lunch.
I do feel for him sometimes because Sam talks to him like an old married couple. He takes it like a man though! I have even heard them call each other "Honey"!
One day I asked Jaxyn if he liked coming to our house. He said, "When I grow up I am going to buy my own house."
I asked him who was going to live in that house with him. He paused for a moment then turned to Sam and said, "When you grow up you live with me Sam."

Sam recently had her 4th birthday. She had a party at McDonald's. She was totally grumpy and wouldn't talk to any of her party guests until....Jaxyn showed up! Then she was just fine.
I'm very excited that they will get to go to Kindergarten together! I hope they can keep their friendship.

My Comfort....

In one of the visits from my dad while we were in Carson City, he said to me, "She's a comfort to you isn't she." He was referring to Samantha. I don't know how long he had been observing us, but he hit something that rang so true to me.
I remember being pregnant with Sam and driving to Salt Lake during the time my mom was having her heart surgery. I remember feeling alone as I drove. Jim was home with the other girls. I don't really have a close relationship with my siblings so even knowing they were there didn't help with the loneliness. I remember feeling this baby moving in me all the time and it hit me that I wasn't alone and that she was sent to me at this time to help me get through that moment and many moments to come.
She has spent many nights sleeping in my bed just for my sake. Not wanting to feel the loneliness while Jim was gone with work, my mind focused on her unknowingly. When I am not myself I look for her to help me. I'm glad she allows me to hug her as often as I do because I need it.
In no way is this to take from what I feel for my other girls....because yes, they are a comfort too. I am thankful everyday for the friendships I have with each of my girls.
