Alright, I'm not going to name any names, but you will know who you are... I am still checking your blog regularly... Seriously, no updates since February??? :)

Here's another one for you...

A month ago Brindley mentioned to me that it had been a bad month for us. I replied with telling her that the last year to year and a half had been the toughest time of my life. It got me thinking about when the best year of my life was. I have had several great years, but the one that sticks out to me the most was the end of my Senior year of high school going into my first year of college. I found out alot about myself then. I had a good relationship with all of my siblings. I was healthy and felt good about myself. I was ready to go experience college and try something new. That was also the year that I fought forest fires which at one time pushed my physical limits so far I almost wet my pants from my muscles being exhausted and at night I would peel the bloody socks off my feet, but I'm glad I did it. I loved being on the fires. It was also the year Jim went on his mission. I was very happy about that. I had great roommates at college and really enjoyed being in my student ward. So many good things in that year.

I enjoyed hearing about everyone's comfort food, so let's hear about your best year. If you didn't already know, this blog is "My Out". Reading about others and what they are doing helps me. It helps me keep my mind off of so many other things.

Karissa's b-day!

Still Catching up.....

For the day of Karissa's birthday we took her to Circus Circus in Reno! The kids were in awe at the casino and all the games and people. She choose McDonald's for dinner and we found a small barbie cake at Walmart. (This was the first time I wasn't able to make her birthday cake.) It was fun sharing the day with her.

I have alot of catching up to do.
Karissa's birthday was back in July. She wanted to have a party for her birthday, but knew we wouldn't be in Hyrum where her friends were. She was being very understanding about it all, knowing that she wouldn't get a friend party. With Brindley's help, we planned a surprise party for Karissa during the last week we were to be in Hyrum. It worked out so well. Karissa's best friend called and invited Karissa over to play. Karissa's other friends showed up while she was playing across the street. She had such a speechless look on her face as she saw all of her friends out back. I want to thank Jessica for being there and helping me! I couldn't have done it with out her.

Some of you shared on my last post, so it got me wondering.... When you are having a bad day do you turn to comfort food? You all now know that Dr. Pepper and chips help me. It's basically Dr. Pepper and any carbohydrate that work for me! What food do you go for when you just can't take it anymore? I'm curious and it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one that needs those comfort foods!

Venting!

I lost it today, so instead of venting by complaining, I will finish off the bag of potato chips, drink a Dr Pepper and post some pictures!

Her smile melts my heart!

A few weeks ago I was taking pictures of my niece. My mom brought out a bunch of stuffed animals to put in the pictures, so while Shannon was getting Jessica ready for pictures I snapped some of Samantha playing!

We are strong!

In the scriptures this morning we read about Capt. Moroni building up his armies and working hard to build up around the cities to make them harder to get into. Karissa said that the armies must have worked as hard as it is to unload three trailers! She was referring to the uhaul trailer her and her sisters helped unload. I'm sure the men in the armies worked much harder, but atleast she was paying attention!

Kristi's Camera

Kristi got a new camera for Mother's Day. I have been very impressed with the pictures it takes. She got the Nikon D60. Here are some pictures that were taken several weeks ago, most at Lake Tahoe. The clarity, color and detail is astounding! Let me know what you think, and I am also interested in tips to really taking good photos, because I am certainly not a photographer! Hopefully you can click on the pictures to make them bigger.

11 years!

As Jim, I and our 4 girls finished unloading our uhaul trailer into the storage shed the other night I turned to Jim and said, "Look at all we have accumulated over the last 11 years." Yes, that storage unit is filled to the max, but nothing is more valuable than our family. I am so blessed to have 4 wonderful, beautiful daughters who as we speak are going through the cupboards in the trailer to see what they can give Jim and I for our anniversary:). I'm also blessed to have a husband that is my best friend. He has sacrificed so much for me and our girls. We have had alot of good times together, but have also faced many trials. Those trails have brought us closer together and helped me realize that I can get through anything as long as I have Jim.

Just for my enjoyment, here are some things I remember about our wedding:

*Our ceremony was early and took place in the Rose room at the Manti Temple.

* Mom and Julianne helped me get ready.

*On the way home from the temple Jim and I stopped at the little drive through in Gunnison and got some shakes.

*Jim's family took care of the luncheon which was held at the town hall in Koosharem. If I remember right we had BBQ beef sandwiches and I dropped some of the meat on my dress. (Not my wedding dress)

*For the reception in Koosharem we served PIZZA HUT PIZZA and ROOTBEER FLOATS with SCWANN'S ICECREAM.

*Julianne and Mom did my wedding cake.

*My colors were navy blue, dusty blue, and dusty rose.

*For the centerpieces I made bride and groom's with stuffed gorilla's.

*We drove the ranger to Logan for the reception there. The AC wasn't working so we had the windows rolled down the whole way. My hair was wind blown and ratted when we got there. I didn't have any conditioner and ended up just pulling it up for the reception without combing all the way through it. It looked better that night than any other time during those few days.

*Connie made the cake for the reception in Logan.

*My cake top got knocked off the cake and broke. They stuck a set of gorillas ontop of the cake for the new cake top.

*We opened our presents in our apartment the morning after the Logan reception. We invited family to join us as we opened the presents. We got cereal the night before so we could feed those that came.

*For our honeymoon we went to Minnetonka cave, Timpanogas cave, Lagoon and camping.

Jim, it has been a great 11 years and I am looking forward to another many, many, many years.

Update

There are alot of things that I need to catch up on, but that will have to wait a few days.

We have had quite a busy few weeks. I hauled the kids to Koosharem two weeks ago so we could be there for the Torgersen reunion. I'll post about the reunion another time. After a week in Koosharem I then took the kids to Logan. I still had things to do at my house to get it ready to rent. Jim's family met at our house one night and cleaned most of it. They really helped me alot. Thanks everyone that helped! I love and miss you all.

The girls spent time with their friends and I was able to spend time with my friends. It was so great to see them all and just visit and relax for a minute.

I picked Jim up at the SLC airport early Saturday morning then went to the house and started some more cleaning. It's amazing how much more I can get done when Jim is with me. We got another UHaul trailer and loaded most of the rest of our stuff in it. Late Saturday night we finished with the house and slept for a few hours. For one last time we went to Sacrament meeting with Hyrum 15th ward. We got there a little later than normal and our bench was still empty, but sitting around it was our friends....as if they had saved it for us.

It was very hard pulling away from our house. As we left I was reminded of the last time I moved from Cache Valley. I was a Freshman in College and had finished my first two quarters of school. I packed up and moved to Cedar City to go to school. As I drove out of the valley then, I cried realizing how much I love that place. Obviuosly I couldn't stay away from there for long because 6 months later I was back and never moved from there again until now.

We made it to Carson City late Sunday night. Jim and I will be unloading the uhaul trailer tonight and getting settled in the camp trailer once again. We do have a prospect for renters for our house, so hopefully we can start looking for us a place to live here in Carson City.

Once again, I want to tell everyone thanks for all the love, help, support, friendship, everything that you have helped us with. Some have asked for a mailing address. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I know I can get mail here at the RV park. I am going to check into it here in the next few days.

I have many pictures I want to post about b-days, reunions and other things, so hopefully I can get things pulled together in the next few days to do that!
