Just a sneak peak of what we have been enjoying this week. Even though they are cousins they could be twins.......or atleast partners in crime!

My Brave Big/Little Girls

My sweethearts got shots today. :'( Yes, I think it hurt me more than them. Samantha was having her 15 month checkup so I decided to get Lexie her last shots before Pre-School. I debated for a few days whether I should tell her she was going to get them today. I had told her in the past that she needed a few shots before school. So, this morning I told her that while Samantha was getting her shots, she would get them too. Lexie said, "Ok, then I can go to school!" She was so brave. I asked the nurse if we could do Lexie's first. The only nervousness I heard from Lexie was just before the doctor came in. She said, "Mom, I'm tired. I think we should go home right now."

She stuck it out though. The nurse came in with the 5 needles. 3 for Lexie and 2 for Samantha. Lexie then became more nervous about the nurses seeing her cinderella underwear than the shots. I put her up on the table and she pulled her shirt down over her undies and smiled the whole time. I wish I was as brave as her.

Samantha's checkup went well. The doctor was glad that she gained some weight. She weighed in at 19 lbs 8 oz and is 30 inches long. Yes, she is small, but that's how my kids are. She ofcourse screamed when she got her shots, but as soon as the shots were over she was fine. She is a busy girl and keeps the whole family on there toes trying to keep up with her. She really likes to color on walls....which isn't good when you are renting the place. She loves her dad and sisters and loves Rocky, the dog.
When ever we go out with Rocky he is jumping all over us and excited to have someone to play with. When Samantha is around him he sits still and just lets her play with him. She pokes his eyes, grabs his tongue, pulls his tail, feeds him treats and gives him hugs.

Samantha is always pulling things out of the cupboards. I found her having her bottle with the collander covering her face.

So you all saw Samantha doing the squats a while back. Here she is working out on the WII. I can't play on it by myself anymore, she gets on it and does her workout too.

Our Trip to Utah

You would have thought it was Christmas with as excited as my kids got anticipating the trip to Utah. They even knew they were going to be in the car for almost 9 hours, but they still couldn't hold back the giggles as I woke them at 6:30 am to get in the car. I loved hearing the girls' comments as we drove into Cache Valley and as we drove down the street to Grandma's. "It's the trees we always drove by!" "Look, it's the store we always drove by!" The best part, we had told everyone we were coming on Thursday....we actually went on Wednesday. It was so fun surprising Grandma and all the family by showing up a day early. I parked the car around the corner from Grandma's and all of us....still dressed in our pj's...around 4:30 pm.....sneak up to the door. Lexie rang the doorbell while the rest of us hid by the porch. It was soooo fun!

I really enjoyed visiting with everyone and letting the kids play with their COUSINS! Love you all! Here are a few pics of the family!

I just wanted to share this. We love Millville Elementary. We love the faculty and staff and all the parents and students that contribute to make this school what it is.

In the middle of Brindley's 1st grade school year (2007) we moved to Hyrum. Brindley was going to be bussed to Millville Elementary. I was very nervous about changing schools with her. I didn't know Millville Elementary at all. The few days during the transfering her between schools was a very emotional week for me. We were moving from a neighborhood and school that we knew and loved. And on top of all that, my baby was admitted to the hospital with bronchialitis. So, trying to hold it all together I entered Millville Elementary. I met the secretary who was very friendly and helpful. She gave me paper work to fill out for Brindley. As I was looking over the papers, standing in the hall of this unknown school, feeling the tears brimming, a smiling, warm, caring, lady approached Brindley and I. She asked how we were doing then asked what house we were moving to. After giving her the address of our new house she replied, "I think you are in my parents ward." She shared excitement of having Brindley join the school. Not even thinking that she could possibly be the principal, I asked her who she was. "I'm the principal." She replied.

I felt a little dumb, but was so thankful for her approaching us that day and making us feel welcome. As we attending church the following Sunday we learned that we were actually in her ward. :)

Just to share a little more about her staff. Brindley had only been in school a few days when I recieved a call from her teacher. She let me know Brindley was doing well and wanted to know how I was doing with the move and everything. There have been many phone calls like that in the past. Thank you to all the teachers and staff.


We miss Millville Elementary and look forward to returning there, hopefully soon.
