Life is Fragile

Like a flash.....life can change.....
This last week, the actual living, breathing, heart beating part of life has been put in perspective as young lives have been taken so quickly and others almost taken.....like a flash, life can change. I did not personally know the individuals that lost their lives or the ones that are currently healing in the hospital, but being a part of this community, you feel it.  You feel the love that was there for that child.  You feel heartache knowing a parent lost one of their children. I have said before that there is no way to understand or feel what a parent that has lost a child feels unless you have gone through it. My heart is tender for those parents. I pray for their comfort and I hope that their little angel spirit will linger with them.
Hug your little ones. Be patient and kind. Breathe and be in the moment with them. Each day is a blessing we receive to spend with our family. Love them and let them know you LOVE them.

The return......

It has been a long while since I blogged. Taking pictures with phones has changed the blogging world for me. BUT I now remove my pics on my phone more often, so hopefully this will give me the opportunity to blog more.
This is such an exciting time in our families lives right now. We stay very busy and are enjoying new experiences as our daughters grow and develop their talents.
About 10 months ago Jim was made bishop. Learning that he needs to be there for our ward has been something new....But the Lord has blessed me and our family with patients and understanding. Jim also continues his work with Rent Dynamics and manages the Rent Plus side of the business. He is busy with it and see lots of growth potential. I love seeing him happy with his job and with his coworkers. They are a bunch of great guys who are great friends.

Brindley turned 16 and has entered the dating stage along with the driving stage. I have loved having her run errands for me. It has also been fun seeing her get asked to dances. I think I enjoy that part as much as she does.
Karissa entered 9th grade this year and is at the high school. She had a lot of nerves about it, but I think she is enjoying the more "mature" (if you can call high schoolers mature) atmopshere. She is gaining her own likes and dislikes and willing to try new things.
Lexie has suddenly grown before my eyes. She is no longer a little girl. She was so excited to get the SEM letter this week so she could participate in those activities again. She also is doing her 2nd year of dance. Dance has given her her own thing and she loves it.
Samantha is now a 2nd grader! My baby is gone! She does things on her own now like pour the milk or fix herself a snack. She is constantly happy and recently was heard saying, "There is happy in you somewhere." That has been my new favorite quote. She is doing soccer for her 4th season and is so excited about it. She loves that she is 1 of 2 2nd graders on the team with the rest being 1st graders.
I am still doing daycare. I have loved seeing "my" kids grow. It is hard to watch them move on from my house and I miss them. Some days are hard doing daycare. Having that constant vigil over kids is tiring, but I'm grateful that I can be home when my girls come home from school.

So here is me trying to jump back onto the blogging circuit.....let's see how long it takes me to get bucked off!
