Please bare with me. This is just me doing some journaling.
Wow, where did Christmas go? Here we are in a new year. With that, brings many changes for us. There have been many ask about Jim and a job. Yes, he got a job. We are truly grateful that he got one considering the economy. It may not be the ideal job, but we are thankful. He will be training for the next several months to be a regional manager over several retail stores. Jim is excited to do this and be able to get some retail experience on his resume. With this new job we will more than likely have to move, but I am still keeping my fingers crossed that we can stay where we are at.
As I look back over the last year and everything that has gone on, I definatly see the Lord's hand in it all. It took me a few months to see it, but I know that everything that happened was planned and was supposed to happen how it did. Jim losing his job was not the first bump in the road this year, but it has been a blessing in disguise. The week after we found out about his job, is when we found out that I was pregnant. This pregnancy wasn't planned to be this soon. We had talked about it and I knew I wanted another baby, but I wanted to wait until November or December to get pregnant. When November rolled around I realized that we wouldn't have gotten pregnant then when we have no job. So we now know why it happened when it did. This baby is supposed to be here and I am so excited. (Especially to know that I only have 6 weeks left!!!!) I also know that I couldn't have gone through this pregnancy without Jim being home. This has been my hardest pregnancy. He has literally taken over everything for me. The laundry, the cooking, the homework, and he even cleaned the toilets! Our home teacher was asking me what service I had done for my family in the last little while. Sad to say, but I couldn't come up with anything. They all take care of me. Even down to tieing my shoes.
Another blessing of Jim not working was he was able to help me while Mom was in the hospital and her having surgery. Many times over the last several months when we would come to another hurdle to cross, Jim and I both thought that once this particular thing is over he will get a job, then something else would come up that we were thankful that he was home. The night after Mom came out of surgery I knew things were changing. I know I talked about this before, but the complete joy I felt was so amazing. I knew Mom was going to be ok, but I also knew that things would be looking up for Jim, I, and the girls also. Yes, the start of December was a little hard for us. But we both had some humbling experiences. Jim recieved the job offer two weeks after Mom's surgery. They told him he could start after the new year. We tried to make the most of our time with him over the holidays. Time just seemed to go to fast, but we did have a good holiday season. Today, Jim starts his job. I am so proud of you Jim. I love you so much and I am excited for the new experiences you will be having along with the ones our whole family will have.
