Happy Valentine's

I have to admit I Love Valentine's! I mainly love the red and pinks and the HEARTS! I love helping the girls do their valentine cards to hand out at school. I remember back in the day when I would take my time and made sure I read every card that I was giving out so the right card went to the right person. :)

On Valentine's Day I did a surprise dinner for the girls. I snuck home during church and decorated the kitchen/table. I got dinner in the oven so it would be ready when church was over. Each of the girls got a red rose and a treat. It was so fun seeing their faces. I definately have some "girly girls" who appreciate stuff like this.

Our dinner consisted of homemade lasagna, green beans, green salad, jello, french bread, and sparkling cider, with brownies and icecream for dessert. Ok, so yes, I fixed my favorite for dinner, but they loved it too. They thought it was great that they got to drink the fun bubbley!

Picture Overload......Part Two

Hope Jim doesn't get in trouble with this picture, but I had to show it. The girls love the "Lucky Truck". That's the dog's name on the side. When Jim first came to Carson City this was his transportation. He would drive it to his hotel, to church, to go to dinner, and where ever else he had to go. In this picture he is taking the girls for a ride around the RV park that we were staying at.

I purchased several colors of this hat last summer. I love how they look on Lexie. Her hair has the right curl to flip out under the hat.

Samantha found the left over roastbeef and cheddar sandwich from Arby's.

No one noticed she had it for quite awhile. She loved it!

She is so happy....when Mommy is paying attention to her.

She is also quiet when she is getting into stuff.

My Little Helper! Making cookies on "Cookie Monday"!

She knows how to run the mixer, crack the eggs, measure with the measuring spoons, scooping the dough, and of course, eating the cookies. The best part.....She told me one day, "Mom, when I am a mom and my older kids are at school, I will make cookies with my younger kid." I love this time with her. She looks forward to Cookie Monday and not just for the cookies, but she gets to help make them.

Samantha loves to help empty everything. From garbages to cupboards, to laundry baskets and dishwashers, she can't leave anything in it's place. Here she is helping with the dishwasher. So when you come to our house and see chairs in front of all the cupboards, you will know they are to help keep things in the cupboards.

Pajama pants I made for the girls for Christmas.

The weather is getting warmer. The girls love to play outside and Samantha wants to be right there with them. She stands at the door and cries and knocks on the window til someone takes her out.

My girls have really gotten into reading this last year. Samantha has picked up on it. Often I find her sitting in the middle of a pile of books that she just emptied from the book box and she is reading them. She jabbers to herself as she turns the pages.

It's my baby's birthday!

Picture Overload....part one

I finally unloaded the pictures off my camera. These are pictures I have taken over the past several months....fully intending to put them on my blog. This is only part one of all of the pics.

Yes, we do get snow in Nevada. This snow storm caused a "snowday" for the school.

So since the kids had no school we put them to work shoveling....not, they are actually playing in the snow, remembering the snow in Hyrum.

This is the girls' school. This picture is taken in the doorway of our house. Shows how close we live to the school. It's nice sending the kids out the door and they are at school in 3 min.
Also notice the road...can you even tell there is a road. They don't plow around here like in Utah. The roads had snow packed on them for two weeks after this storm.

This was our home for a couple months. Now you know why I got a sledgehammer and some sheetrock for my anniversary gift. Close quarters for 6 of us.

Moving Day! The girls helped Jim and I move everything out of storage into the house. They were such great help.

Dad did come visit while we were in the trailer. It was fun seeing someone we knew.

Finally on the 4th kid I bought an infant bathtub. This was while we were in the trailer. Samantha was too big to fit in the sink so we got this tub for her. She loved it and has loved the bath ever since.

More Smiles!

Sunday I was sitting between Lexie and Samantha on the bench at church. Samantha was standing against the back of the bench. Lexie leans up to my ear and while looking at it she says, "I'm trying to see Samantha through there."

Samantha is asleep in the room where the "dress ups" are. Lexie says to me, "Mom, some of the dress ups got out of the room and I didn't do it and you didn't do and Samantha is still asleep. It was maaaagic!"

I ask her, "Are you lieing to me?"

Her reply, "Well actually, I just snuck in and got them...and Samantha didn't wake up!!!! That's good huh?!"
